first and foremost, i would like to stress here that TWILIGHT is a movie made for teens. not for grown up adults. so don't whine that the movie is too cheesy, shitty or whatsoever because teenagers are enjoying this type of movie. even the TWILIGHT book is classified under 'Teen fiction'. wasn't it obvious enough? don't expect horror when it comes to this vampire. they're vegetarians.
so the movie is out last thursday, so, as expected, i went to see it that thursday jugak. haha.
Twilight is like a twist of romeo n juliet, in terms of the forbidden love.
as a loyal, obsessive, pathetic reader of the Twilight Saga [twilight, new moon, eclipse & breaking dawn], i'd say they portrayed each character and storyline very well when it seems impossible to cramp a 500 pages book into a 2 hour movie. of course things are more detailed in the book but the director manage to transform a magnificent book into motion very well.
the lines are exactly like the book, so u can see me whispering the next line even before bella or edward say it. hehe. the hair sniffing in the lab (because she knew she smells like strawberries), the mouth covering, they're just how we (the readers) imagined it. the only differences are bella didn't cook in the movie as she was in the book, and the first time they touch is in the lab while doing the phase of mitosis lesson not in the car back from port angeles. speaking of car, the so called silver Volvo is SUPERB! hahahaha. i love that. because i've read the book first before i see the movie, i don't go all 'ahhss', 'uuuuu', 'wowww', like the others when they first see edward's skin glowing like shattered diamonds when exposed to the sun. i love the meadow though. hehe.
when edward muttered "you are my life now", i was supposed to be a reply to bella's "i love you", but they missed the i love you part.
one thing for sure, tgk movie ni rase tak puas. i felt like i was just shifting my seat and the movie is almost ended already. clearly i wasn't moving around much. (mesmerized by the cullens, hehehe).
to all edward & bella crazy fans, i'll spill one thing for you, he's gonna make her a vampire too in the end. like it or not, deal with it. *grin*
they say it's gonna be the next harry porter. but i don't how they're gonna make new moon because it's too depressing (even to be read).
